  • 4 ears fresh corn, shucked
  • 5 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup various fresh herbs, finely chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to boil. Prepare an ice bath in a large bowl.
  2. Cook the green beans in the boiling water for 2 minutes until tender-crisp. Transfer to the ice bath to cool.
  3. Add shucked corn to the boiling water without heat for about 5 minutes, then cool in the ice bath.
  4. Cut kernels off the cooled corn cobs and set aside.
  5. In a sauté pan over medium heat, melt butter and add the green beans and corn; season with salt and pepper.
  6. Toss gently until warmed through, adding three-quarters of the herbs just before serving.
