  • 12 cups water (divided)
  • 6 black tea bags
  • 24 ounces frozen raspberries (about 5 to 6 cups)
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar (divided)
  • Lemon slices (for garnish)
  • Fresh mint leaves (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a kettle, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Place tea bags in a large bowl and pour boiling water over them. Steep for 8 minutes.
  2. Remove tea bags and stir in ½ cup of sugar until dissolved.
  3. In a saucepan, combine 2 cups of water, frozen raspberries, and remaining ¼ cup sugar. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. Strain the raspberry mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a heat-safe container.
  5. Combine steeped tea with raspberry syrup and remaining cold water in a pitcher.
  6. Chill in the refrigerator before serving over ice with garnishes.
