  • 118 milliliters water (1/2 cup)
  • 1/2 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Strawberries: Hull the strawberries by removing the core and leaves.
  2. Blend the Strawberries: Combine strawberries and water in a blender and puree until smooth.
  3. Strain the Puree: Pour the mixture through a fine mesh sieve set over a saucepan to remove pulp; press down with a spatula.
  4. Cook the Syrup: Over medium heat, add sugar and lemon juice to the strained puree. Stir until dissolved, then bring to a gentle boil, stirring occasionally for about 10 minutes until thickened.
