  • 7 g instant yeast
  • 15 g granulated sugar
  • 7 g salt
  • 35 ml sunflower oil
  • 225 ml warm water
  • 40 g butter (for spreading)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, yeast, sugar, salt, sunflower oil, and warm water. Mix until combined.
  2. Knead the dough for about 10-12 minutes until smooth and elastic. Cover and let rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  3. Divide the dough into two equal portions and roll each into a round sheet on a floured surface.
  4. Spread softened butter on one sheet and cover it with the second sheet. Cut into 12 triangles.
  5. Roll each triangle from the wide base to the tip to form croissants.
  6. Place on a baking tray lined with parchment paper, brush with beaten egg, and allow to rise for another 30 minutes.
  7. Preheat oven to 200°C (392°F) and bake for 10-15 minutes until golden brown.
