  • 1 box Betty Crockerâ„¢ Super Moistâ„¢ White Cake Mix
  • Water, vegetable oil, whole eggs (as per package instructions)
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons red gel food color
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons blue gel food color
  • 1/2 cup from 1 tub (16 oz) Betty Crockerâ„¢ Rich & Creamy Vanilla Frosting
  • 2 teaspoons Betty Crockerâ„¢ Red, White & Blue Sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and spray a 12-cup fluted tube cake pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the cake mix with water, vegetable oil, and whole eggs as directed on the package.
  3. Separate 1 cup of batter into two bowls. Add red food color to one bowl and blue to the other; mix well.
  4. Layer red batter in the bottom of the pan, followed by white batter, then blue batter in the center.
  5. Bake for 39-44 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool for about an hour.
  6. Decorate cooled cake with drizzled frosting and sprinkles if desired.
