  • 1 Tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 Tbsp chili crisp
  • 4 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 6 green onions (thinly sliced)
  • 1 Tbsp fresh ginger (minced)
  • 2 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp white miso paste
  • 6 cups vegetable or chicken broth
  • 1 Tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 lb frozen vegetable, chicken, or beef dumplings
  • 3 to 4 cups baby bok choy
  • Toppings: fried onion, chili crisp, green onion, sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Heat sesame oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add chili crisp, white parts of green onion, ginger, and garlic; cook until fragrant (about 2 minutes).
  2. Stir in soy sauce, broth, and rice vinegar; bring to a boil then lower to simmer for about 4 minutes.
  3. Dissolve miso paste in some hot broth; add back into the pot.
  4. Add frozen dumplings; simmer according to package instructions until almost cooked.
  5. Stir in bok choy and the green parts of green onion; cook until wilted (1-2 minutes).
  6. Serve hot with toppings like fried onions and chili crisp.
