  • 4 oz dark chocolate (preferably 70% cocoa)

  • 1 teaspoon plant-based gelling agent (like agar-agar) – optional

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine heavy cream, sugar, and orange zest. Stir until the sugar is fully dissolved.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in the orange juice and vanilla extract until well mixed.
  3. Place broken dark chocolate in a separate bowl and pour the warm cream mixture over it. Let sit for a few minutes before stirring until smooth.
  4. If using, dissolve the plant-based gelling agent in warm water and mix into the chocolate cream thoroughly.

  6. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2-4 hours or overnight until set.
