  • 2 pounds chicken breasts or thighs, cut into cubes
  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 1/3 cup tamari or soy sauce
  • 4 tablespoons melted butter or extra virgin olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 6 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • black pepper and chili flakes
  • 1/4 cup flour or gluten-free flour
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 450°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine chicken cubes with garlic powder, black pepper, chili flakes, and flour until evenly coated. Drizzle with melted butter and toss again.
  3. Arrange the chicken on one side of the baking sheet and add broccoli tossed in remaining butter on the other side.
  4. Bake for 10-15 minutes until chicken is cooked through.
  5. While baking, mix tamari, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil in a bowl.
  6. Remove broccoli from the oven and pour sauce over chicken; toss to coat well. Bake an additional 5 minutes.
  7. Serve hot alongside broccoli over rice or in lettuce wraps.
